Remember to book a slot on online several WEEKS in advance, or you won't get inside. So I can only comment on the building's exterior as okay. It's not a palace (I didn't expect it to be), but there are plenty of other nice shops and things to explore on the block. Directly in front of the building there is a canal tour for those that forget to order tickets early enough.

Absolutely a highlight of the trip.
Absolutely a highlight of the trip. The museum and audio tour are well designed and being in the rooms where the Franks and their friends lived is just incredibly moving. When we left we felt very somber but we found canal boats right outside and took a tour that helped lighten the mood a bit. You MUST book tickets online well in advance and there are strict rules around the timing. Check their website as soon as you decide to go so you don't miss out.

First tip is to book your tickets 2 months before your visit! We were sad to see many guests turned away trying to buy tickets at the office. A very moving tour giving the historical references of the Holocaust seen through the eyes of a young girl. Bravo to the technical advances of the audio equipment connecting via bluetooth to each room to hear the changing stories of each room. Seeing the various videos of the real heroes of the story were intriguing as well as seeing the actual hidden stairs behind the bookcase and seeing the small spaces of how they spent their time living under such horrible conditions.

Ann Franks house is very different now (2022) to when I first visited it (1996). The original house now has a massive museum built around it,probably to sustain the vast numbers of tourists. Included in the price is a head set - guide in your chosen language. you walk from room to room listening to the story and looking at photos of items on display.

Great to see and explore the history after reading the books. You MUST book your tickets well in advance of travelling otherwise you will be disappointed.
It is an extremely busy place so don’t expect to be able to wander and explore on your own. You are in the group and you have to keep moving.
Sadly it was very wet the day we visited and you wait outside for ages in the queue in the rain. Given the volume of people that go through it would be nice to have some sort of shelter for those waiting.

A truly worthwhile visit to reflect about life and death through the eyes of a young girl mature beyond her years! Best to book in advance cos we had to weeks ahead and we’re told when we visited that tickets were sold out!

This is an exceptional property in an extraordinary location, across the canal from the Anne Frank House. We particularly appreciated the assistance and support of our hosts who could not have been more friendly and responsive. We solicited and received great recommendations for our visit and we followed them to the letter — to our great benefit. We truly enjoyed our stay.
The location in the Museum Quarter is perfect. It's a short walk to the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseums as well as great shopping and restaurants right down the street. Also walkable to Heineken Experience, Anne Frank House and other attractions. The hotel itself is very nice with modern and clean rooms and a good breakfast buffet.
We stayed here for a week, and it was absolutely the most perfect location. It was a maximum 20 minute walk to anywhere in the city, whether the museum district, the Anne Frank house, or Central Station. Very safe and tons of restaurants and shopping nearby, including the Nine Streets district. But maybe the best part was the interior decoration of the hotel, which was absolutely beautiful. They really gave thought to every detail, from the lobby to the rooms. I will definitely stay here again on my return trip to Amsterdam.
Great location in Jordaan close walk to Anne Frank house. Staff was wonderful and friendly to assist as needed. Hotel provided coffee and nice pastry treats in the afternoon. Our room had a view of the canal which was a plus. Will definitely stay at Hotel Linden on our next visit back!
What matters the most with a European room is location, the bed and the shower for the value. In addition to knocking that out of the park, the breakfast, service and overall quaint factor makes the T special. The Wifi needs to be better and with no elevator and steep stairs, it’s not for the disabled. The location a block and a half from the Anne Frank house is just right
Although I only stayed one night this hotel was one of my favorites . The staff was very welcoming and made it feel like I was at a home away from home . Our room was ready for early check in which was amazing . We had a canal view and the room was cozy and clean . Good walking location to the Anne Frank house which we did and a lot of walkable food options around as well . When we checked out they provided a goodie bag with snacks for our flight and I really appreciated that . Thank you Mr.Jordaan hotel and staff . Will definitely be back !

For the Anne Frank Huis - be prepared for long queues, get a special ticket or book in advance. My friends and I waited in line for over 2 hours - during a heat wave, no less! There are a few things to do while you wait, that is, if someone can hold your place in line. You can go and take a look at the original front of the house, and the view of Prinsengracht is very nice. There are also a couple of souvenir shops that serve cold drinks and snacks, as well as a bathroom, to the left of the queue. Also, the nearby LGBT tourist information booth sells really pretty postcards.
